Application for €22.5m student beds in Galway submitted

Montane Developments has submitted a strategic housing application to An Bord Pleanála for a student accommodation development comprising up to 255 bed spaces. The €22.5 million development will be located at Coolough Road in Terryland in Co Galway. An Bord Pleanála is expected to make a decision on the case by May.

342 homes in planning for Kegata  in Co Galway

Kegata Ltd has submitted a strategic planning application to An Bord Pleanála for a residential development comprising of 342 units. The €75 million project comprises houses and apartments near Rosshill Road in the townlands of Roscam in Co Galway. A decision is expected by May.

 

Curve in line for ABP decision on 101 Dalkey apartments

Curve Devco Ltd has submitted a strategic planning application to An Bord Pleanála for a €22.2 million development project comprising 101 apartment units located at the grounds of Castle Park School on Castle Park Road in Dalkey in south Co Dublin. A decision is expected by May 2020.

Tipp CoCo aims for ten new houses in Mullinahone

A Part 8 application (those used by county councils to apply for planning permission) is in a consultation phase with Tipperary County Council for the construction of ten new houses comprising two two-bedroom, two-storey houses; eight three-bedroom, two-storey houses; roads, foot-paths, underground services, drain-age systems, car parking, boundary treatments, landscaping, open spaces, connection to existing sewers and water main and all associated site works. The €2.2 million residential development will be located at Killaghy Crescent in Mullinahone in Co Tipperary.

 

€50m hospital/health centre in Swords gets all clear

Vanguard Health Services has been granted planning permission for a €50 million hospital/health centre development in Swords in north Co Dublin. The development will consist of an eight-storey facility comprising of a main entrance/reception area, atrium winter garden, a cafe, a restaurant, two retail units, outpatients and diagnostics departments, GP departments and urgent care department all at ground floor level; out of hospital services/primary care at first and second floor levels; an endoscopy unit and theatres at third floor level; a theatre and building plant at fourth floor level; and another endoscopy unit and a day hospital with staff hub at fifth floor level.

 

488 apartments granted for Saggart in Dublin

Greenacre Residential DAC (Designated Activity Company) has been granted a strategic housing development application for 488 apartment units. The €107 million development will be located in Fortunestown Lane in Saggart in Co Dublin. (There are currently no known construction schedules for when works are to commence on the project.)

Tenders due soon on €45m Dún Laoghaire co-living scheme

Enabling works have begun on Bartra Capital’s €45 million shared living space development in Dún Laoghaire in South Co Dublin. Bartra has issued tenders to main contractors which are due to be returned in March/April. Construction works are expected to follow shortly after the tender procedure.

HSE puts out PQQs for €7m orthopaedic theatres in Galway

Pre-Qualification Questionnaires have been advertised by the HSE for the €7 million Modular Orthopaedic Theatres at Merlin Park Hospital in Co Galway. The MPUH Orthopaedic Theatres comprise almost 712 square metres of clinical accommodation on the ground with an enclosed plant room of 342 square metres overhead. There are two stand-alone structures associated with the development including a generator and Gas Storage Compound. Due to the falls across the site, a retaining wall is required to carry the path on the south side and a fire tender/waste collection road will also link to the internal MPUH road net-work.
