Glossary of Terms
Project Stages
Tender – Incorporates projects that will be tendered as plans advance (Pre-tender), projects that are currently out to tender and projects that are currently awaiting the appointment of a contractor or consultancy (Pre-Contract) for the scheme following a tender process.
Contract Awarded – Incorporates projects that have had a main contractor or lead consultancy appointed to the project.
On Site – Incorporates projects that have commenced, an element of the scheme has commenced and when sub-contractors have been appointed to the project.
Planning stages
Plans granted – A recommendation to approve planning
Plans refused – A recommendation to refuse planning
Planning not required – Associated with new tenders
Pre-planning – Plans have not yet been lodged for the scheme
Appeal lodged – Appeals can be lodged within 4-6 weeks of a planning decision
Appeal decision – Planning decision can be overturned or upheld following appeal process
Dates
Start Date – Anticipated commencement of works
Duration – Anticipated contract period of building works
End Date – Anticipated completion of building works
Recall date – When a project will next be researched by the research team
