HOME-GROWN engineering consultancy PM Group is continuing its international expansion plans by opening a new office in Sweden.
Group chief executive Pat McGrath confirmed this weekend that his company, which recorded sales of €180m last year, had just opened an office in Gothenburg, with a target of 30 staff there within two years.
"We
are very proud to be an Irish-based company providing our expertise in
designing and delivering complex technology projects around the world,"
Mr McGrath said.
"Over 50pc of our business now originates outside of Ireland. We operate in 20 countries and the Nordic region is an important part of our international expansion programme."
PM Group is already working on Swedish projects for several firms including Zeneca, Pfizer and Nobel Biocare, while the group's previous Nordic portfolio includes work for Oriflame, Nycomed and IKEA.
"Our
customers see a value in the combination of local presence and a
strong, highly skilled and experienced international organisation,"
said PM Group's Western Europe managing director Dave Murphy.
Founded in Ireland more than 30 years ago, PM Group has its headquarters based in the Republic.
